We jointly developed the Standards for Communtiy Connecting. These offer a way to ckeck your progress in community connecting, at an individual service, team and organisational level.
Michelle Livesley has been working in partnership with two local authorities, one in the North West and one in the North East on Community Connecting programmes. In both the standards are used to set direction for change and evaluate ongoing progress and learning.

Standards for Community Living.
There are many definitions of 'community' and no agreed definition of 'a good community life'. For organisations that want to help people have a good life in the community, it can be hard to know how successful they are. These draft standards are a first attempt to give some shape and definition to success. We hope you will help us to improve them by suggesting changes.

Community Membership. The basics of one page profiles.
At Northstar Services, they have already created One Page profiles for the individuals they support.
Now they are thinking more consciously and creatively about how to support each person to be a valued community member. Developing a One Page Profile for Community Membership will, Northstar believe, help to focus their thinking.
