This one day workshop supports providers to consider and identify
the challenges and implications of the personalisation agenda on
their human resource policies, procedures and practices.
What does this course cover?
This one day workshop supports providers to consider and identify
the challenges and implications of the personalisation agenda on
their human resource policies, procedures and practices.
The objectives of this workshop are for participants to:
- Explore person centred recruitment - developing person
specifications and job descriptions.
- Consider the human resource implications of service
design.
- Explore a tool for an analysis of the organisation's readiness
for personalisation.
- Develop a high level action plan and consider next steps.
Who is it for?
Providers who wish to develop individualised services that are
operationally responsive to self-directed support tenders and the
wider personalisation agenda. It is important to have
representation at chief executive/senior management level and human
resource and senior finance representatives.
What will people know and be able to do as a result of
attending this course?
Participants will:
- Explore tools to support the development of person centred
specifications that are linked to information within the support
plan.
- Consider how to introduce individual requirements within their
wider generic job descriptions.
- Explore and record organisational implications of this
agenda.
- Explore the implications of developing individualised support
i.e. appropriate skill mix, training and development, appraisal
systems, staff contracts and the links to ongoing review.
- Consider their organisations current strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities and threats in relation to their human resource
policies, procedures and practices.
- Participants will reflect on the day so far and record their
organisational success criteria and challenges, what and who they
need to support these and high level actions to take forward.
