This is a one day course designed to support providers to consider
the challenges and implications of developing support plans within
their service and/or using support plans to develop Individual
Service Funds.

This is a one day course designed to support providers to consider
the challenges and implications of developing support plans within
their service and/or using support plans to develop Individual

The objectives of this workshop are for participants to:
- Explore what should be in a support plan.
- Explore tools and resources for developing support plans.
- Consider the implications for organisations.
- Undertake some high level action planning.
Who is it for?
Anybody in a provider organisation who wants to learn how to
develop support plans.
What will people know and be able to do as a result of
attending this course?
Participants will:
- Gain an understanding of the new process of enabling people to
access social care and support services by self directing their
support and using personal budgets.
- Gain an understanding of the seven essential criteria which
must be present in a support plan.
- Experience using person centred thinking tools to create a
support plan.
- Experience using the Support Planning cards, workbooks and
graphic templates to aid the development of a robust support
plan.
- Understand the implications of support planning within provider
organisations.
