There are ways of facilitating reviews that puts the person at the centre of the process and draws on person centred thinking tools and approaches. This process often does not take any more time or preparation, but will help a young person explore what's possible around citizenship and develop a clear and focused person centred action plan.
While the process was designed with transition in mind, they are also being used with adults, children and young people in a range of different service situations. This course develops people's skills to enable them to facilitate citizenship reviews based on 6 keys to citizenship. Citizenship reviews are either done as a Year 10 follow up to build on a previous Year 9 person centred review or as part of a stand alone process. Citizenship reviews are ideal in supporting the individual budgets and in control agendas.
This three day course (with one day follow-up) gives people:
Anyone responsible for reviews, including; care managers, teachers, social workers, Connexions workers, SENCOs, transitions workers, other professionals.
